Electricity

In Australia, electrical current is 240V, AC 50Hz. If your appliances are 110V, check if there is a 110/240V switch. If not, you will need a voltage converter. Bathrooms in leading hotels often have other types of power outlets (110V or 240V) for shavers. 

The Australian type-I three-pin power outlet is different from that in many countries, so you will need an adaptor if travelling from overseas. The picture below shows an Australian plug and power outlet.
