Before you register for ISWC, please make sure to check the visa requirements for Australia. Citizens of most countries (including e.g. the US and most of Europe) need a visa to enter Australia.

ISWC Conference registration includes:

  • all conference materials
  • all sessions from Wednesday-Friday

ISWC Workshop registration includes:

  • all sessions, including tutorials and doctoral consortium, on Monday and Tuesday

ISWC2013 proceedings (two volumes) are available for purchase for AUD $100, while supplies last. Pick-Up or shipment can be arranged on-site at the registration desk.

Additional banquet tickets on our dinner cruise are available for AUD $130 each.

The registration option for the Industry Days at the ISWC is particularly tailored for non-academics who want to attend the tutorials and the domain-focused workshops during the ISWC workshops, and the industry track at the ISWC conference, including the Demo and Poster Session.

ISWC Industry Days registration includes:

  • entry to all workshops and tutorials on Tuesday 22nd of October
  • lunch and coffee breaks on Tuesday 22nd of October
  • entry to the first day of the ISWC conference on Wednesday 23rd of October
  • lunch and coffee breaks on Wednesday 23rd of October
  • reception during the Demo and Poster Session on 23rd of October

Registrations for the Industry Days are to be made through a separate registration system. The registration system is offered by Web Directions South Pty Ltd.

Online Registrations and payments

Online registrations and payments can be made up until October 20th 2013. Payment is due upon registration. If payment is received after the cut-off date for a lower registration fee tier, the registration fee of the new tier is due. Space cannot be guaranteed for any registration that is not paid in full by October 20th 2013. Advance registration is strongly encouraged.

On-site Registration/Information Desk Hours

If you are unable to finalise your plans or payment by October 20th 2013, you may still register at the on-site registration desk which will be available at both ISWC 2013 locations: in the Sydney Masonic Centre from 7:30am on the 21st of October until the 22nd of October at 5:00pm and in the Sydney Convention Centre beginning at 07:00am on the 23rd of October and ending on the 25th of October at 1:00pm. On-site registrations will be accepted on a space-available basis.

Information for authors

Authors of conference papers and workshop papers are required to register and pay before 5th of August 2013. Due to deadline extensions, authors of workshop papers are now required to register before 16th of August 2013. If no payment is received by that date, the paper will not be included in the proceedings.

Information for Workshop Organisers

The chairs of the accepted workshops will receive one free registration for their workshop, i.e. they will receive a one-day workshop registration. This does not include free registration for the main conference. The chairs will let the organisers know until October 7, 2013 via who of the chairs will take up this offer. The one free registration for the workshop does not require to buy a conference ticket, unless the chair also wants to attend the conference.

Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

Requests for cancellations, substitutions or other changes may be made via email to up until October 7, 2013.
Refunds for cancellations received in writing on or before October 7, 2013 will be granted a refund less 20% of the original payment. No refunds will be granted after that date. No refunds can be made to conference or workshop authors. No refunds will be given for portions of the registration not being used. Once purchased, proceedings are non-refundable. All refunds will be made in Australian dollars (AUD) and will be processed in the manner in which the original payment was submitted. Refunds processed via credit card will be applied to the original card.
