About

The International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC) is the leading conference for research on Semantic Web topics. It is held annually and is the successor of the Semantic Web Working Symposium (SWWS).

The conference organisation body has established a SWSA Ten-Year Award which recognizes the most influential papers from the ISWC proceedings ten years prior. In 2013 a paper from the ISWC 2003 will be recognized for the 10 year award.

The Semantic Web Science Association (SWSA) is currently working with both Google and the CORE ranking team to get the quality and standing of the International Semantic Web Conference series adequately reflected by their respective rankings. For more information please visit the SWSA website.

Previous ISWC conferences have been held in Sardinia, Italy in 2002, Florida, USA in 2003, Hiroshima, Japan in 2004, Galway, Ireland in 2005, Athens, USA in 2006, Busan, South Korea in 2007, Karlsruhe, Germany in 2008, Washington D.C., USA in 2009, Shanghai, China in 2010, Bonn, Germany in 2011 and Boston, USA in 2012.
